SDK…
I have been trying to code MxTube in the sdk before I move to toolchain mainly because the sdk is so limiting UI wise. Instead of having a segmented control above the search field I have a new and improved way of selecting the search type. I have now overcome most of the problems I had been having with the sdk and hope to finish up the entire search UI and backend functionality in a week or two. Thanks to all of those who donated! I really appreciate it and it’s what really keeps me going. Here’s a preview of whats to come:
This method of choosing the search type will work perfectly when I add plugin functionality for those who want MxTube to work on even more sites.

PS: For those who have been asking, I do not charge for this app and I never plan to, even on 2.0. This is a hobby for me and most of the time it’s really fun.

Just wondering though, how would the plugin feature work?
Will developers have to create their own decoders to work with other formats such as FLV? Or is all that inbuilt?
MxTube 2.1 will either have flv to mp4 conversion, the ability to use 3rd party sites like vixy.net or both.

Hey here is another idea for you MxWeas. instead of putting th DL videos in a seprate folder. how about it send the vieo to the default video player!!! That would be cool. you know what i mean? Hint: look at iSlsk.app something like that? would be amazing!
I’ve already talked to the creator of iSlsk.app and he is not willing to share his code for this functionality.

Personally I like how the videos go into a seperate folder inside MxTube. I like how it seperates your own videos and the the MxTube videos.
You know having them both intertwined in the video player would be all messy. Who would want short clips mixed in with your tv shows/movies/music videos? Yea so in my opinion Max your app is right on target.
One question I also had was how will the plug-in feature work? Will you be developing these plug-ins or are you going to leave it up for other developers? Mainly it would be nice to have a plug in for coughcoughhulucoughcough haha. I’m sure there’s a lot of people out there like me.

First off let me say I think your program is awesome. I have a suggestion for the next version, i would like to be able to create playlists or at least run the videos continuously.

Hey max, great work on the apps. i think i speak for everyone when i say we relly appreciate the time and effort you put in.
i think i saw this up already but just so you know more people want it, we would love to have a playlist where we can watch several videos one after another.
also maybe just me, but when i get a call or anything on the iphone happens to switch screens like sms the download fails and clears all downloads that were waiting. that would be a great fix.

hey, im loveing the app, ur doing great work, u have basicly done everything most people need for mx tube2, cant wait for it to come out, if u need a beta tester just mail me, as i have all summer free lol, andway all i can say if u could post more, as i cheak this website 3 times a week, if ur bissy dosent mater but if u have some free time it be nice to know what ur doing and how far u got to go.
